Demanding Romance author Noel Kasey

My first release with Demanding Romance is Chamber of Secrets. Actually it’s my first release from any publisher. Erotic time travel. Ancient Egypt and discovering ancient underground burial chamber. Chamber of Secrets was a fun story to research. I took virtual tours through the pyramids and discovered much I never knew about Egypt. Most of what I discovered did not make it into my story, but hopefully will add to the enjoyment of reading and help transport you back to a time of discovery.

Egypt 1907

“Khalid?”

“I am here, Andrew,” came the spirited reply from the darkness. Heavy breaths filled the hot space. Sweat trickled along Andrew Moore’s temple and beaded over his upped lip. He licked the salty drops and swallowed. Shrouded in the dank untainted air, Andrew breathed in the moment of his lifetime. His heart raced. His hands trembled.

Andrew continued to descend, hunched over, his fingers drawing along the stone walls to the burial chamber. Light from the sun was unable to penetrate the narrow stairwell leading deep beneath the Egyptian desert. For months, the chamber had been excavated, slowly revealing the intricate stones, mapping out the perimeter and discovering the secret entrance to the ancient underground dwelling. Dust caked his skin, and his lungs burned from the endless days in the hot arid desert.

“We’re the first people in more than five thousand years to touch this sacred ground.”

“Yes, will be magical.” Khalid rested a hand on Andrew’s lower back.

Warmth pooled in Andrew’s groin. The Egyptian had been at his side for the past six months, there for every tablespoon of dirt sifted away from the ancient dwelling. Khalid represented the Egyptian government. This moment might never exist without Khalid. For Andrew, the moment would have less meaning. With each passing day, hiding his feelings was becoming more difficult. A soft touch in a darkened chamber to reveal the discovery of his lifetime was more than Andrew could ignore. The touch represented that they were there together.
